The henley is back in the rotation! Honestly, it's been back or that is to say it's never really gone away. There are a few styles in menswear that seem to wax and wane as time goes by and there are some devotees of those styles that are unencumbered by flights of fancy. Truth is, the henley-style knit shirt is a classic. It has always seemed to be a way of combining two of the mainstays: the t-shirt and the polo. It has the no-nonsense, tunic-like approach of a t-shirt with the slight investment of elevation that a button placket provides the polo. It lives in-between the two worlds and brings a little of both to the table. It gives a little more panache when worn under a heavier woven (think shirt jacket) than a t-shirt while it's lack of a collar keeps your look less fussy.
